Operator & scope

Who operates this site

This website is operated by ViewBinary Digital. We publish plain-language guides about web and mobile app development for businesses in Singapore, and the site is informational — it does not run accounts, logins, or paid transactions. That matters for this policy: the personal data we handle is limited to what you choose to send us and what the site needs to keep working.

Contact details are available on the contact page. Questions about this privacy policy can be sent to the editorial team using the contact form or the email address listed there.

Figure B · Data we handle

What data we collect

We collect the information you provide when you use the contact form, such as your name, email address, and the content of your message. We may also collect basic technical data generated by your visit, such as browser type and pages viewed, where this is needed to operate the site.

Information you send us

  • Your name, so a reply is addressed correctly.
  • Your email address, used only to answer you.
  • The wording of your message and any project detail you include.

Basic technical data

  • Browser and device type, so pages render and stay readable.
  • Which guides and pages were opened, in aggregate.
  • Rough visit timing, used to spot errors and slow pages.

We do not ask for payment details, identity documents, or account credentials, and the site has no field for them.

Why we collect it

Each item we hold has one job. If a purpose does not apply to your visit, the data behind it is not created. The three reasons below are the whole list.

Purpose · Reply

Contact form data is collected to read and respond to your message. If you ask about app development approaches or the tools we cover, we answer that question and nothing else.

Purpose · Operation

Technical data is collected to keep the site working — pages loading, forms submitting, layout holding together on small screens. It also tells us which guides are actually being read, so we know what to update next.

Purpose · None

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not build marketing profiles, and we do not sell your data to third parties. There is no newsletter list attached to the contact form.

Figure C · Retention

How long we keep data

Keeping data longer than it is useful creates risk without benefit. Our default is the shortest period that still lets us answer you properly and confirm the site is running.

Contact messages

Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up you agree to. Once the conversation is closed and no further reply is expected, the message and its reply thread are deleted. If you ask us to delete it earlier, we do.

Technical data

Technical data is kept for a limited period for site operation and review — long enough to spot a recurring error or a page that consistently fails to load, then removed. When data is no longer needed for either purpose, it is deleted rather than archived indefinitely.

Deletion applies to the copies we control. Data held inside a service provider's backup rotation is removed as that rotation completes.

Sharing data

We do not sell or rent personal data. Data may be shared with service providers who help operate the site, such as hosting providers, only to the extent needed to run the service. These providers are expected to handle data in line with applicable requirements.

What we never do

No sale, no rental, and no handing your message to an advertising or data-broker network. Nothing you type into the contact form is used to build a profile of you.

Who may see it

The people who read and answer enquiries, plus the hosting and email providers that carry the message. Access is limited to what each provider needs to perform its part.

What we ask of them

Providers are expected to protect data, use it only for the service they supply, and delete or return it when the arrangement ends.

Your rights

You can ask what personal data we hold about you, request a correction, or ask for deletion. Requests can be sent through the contact page.

Send a data request

Access

Ask us to confirm whether we hold data about you and to describe what it is. We reply in writing to the address you used.

Correction

If something we hold is wrong — a misspelled name, an outdated email — tell us and we correct it.

Deletion

You can ask us to delete your message and contact details. We confirm when it is done.

Response time

We will respond within a reasonable period. If a request is complex, we tell you it will take longer rather than leaving it unanswered.

Verification

To protect your data, we may ask you to write from the same email address used in the original message before acting on a request.

Cookies

This site may use cookies for basic operation and to understand how the site is used. See our cookie policy for details, including how to manage cookies in your browser.

Read the cookie policy

What cookies do here

  • Remember a preference between pages so you are not asked the same thing twice.
  • Count which guides are opened so we know which ones to keep current.
  • Keep the site stable under normal traffic. No cookie here is used to target advertising.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the wording you are reading now is the version in force. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.

When an update changes something material — a new category of data, a new provider, a longer retention period — we describe what changed instead of silently replacing the text.
